Overview
Sting Communications is a proven leader in the transformation of telecommunications services and is delivering advanced Next Generation Network (NGN) services today.
Sting deploys advanced, large-scale, fully managed Ethernet networks to optimize delivering the application requirements of Sting's customers. Sting's control environment is Layer 2/3 and above. Effectively, Sting virtualizes the Wide Area Network ("WAN") in order to facilitate Site-to-Cloud connectivity. Sting's customers have the ability to leverage the capability of the network to run their applications more efficiently and effectively. Simply put, Sting's network is better, faster and generates cost savings for its customers when compared to traditional telecommunications networks.
Sting's network was built from the ground up as a Carrier Ethernet and Multi-Protocol Label Switching ("MPLS") solution. It contains no legacy technologies and no old-school network protocols to work around.
It is a Layer 2/3 MPLS network that virtualizes the "WAN" into the "LAN", reducing complexity and cost while increasing flexibility on a converged IP network. MPLS provides any-to-any connectivity that enables seamless integration of applications and services. It is a single IP network that can handle data, voice and video and an environment where you can share applications and manage configuration and connectivity across multiple networks. Sting's network delivers the flexibility of MPLS and the simplicity of Ethernet.
